Metal. Ceramic. Invisalign. What'll it be?

My husband, a former brace face, really wanted me to get Invisalign.  He didn’t want me to feel the pain or discomfort of traditional braces.  He was all about Invisalign.  Before I could really decide, I had to do my homework.
I did a lot of research.  I have researched so many devices like the Damon System, Invisalign, SureSmile, lingual braces, fast braces, etc.  I read reviews of the products and then of course I interviewed someone I knew who recently had their braces removed – my nephew John.

John had traditional metal braces and now he has big beautiful teeth!  Not Gary Busey teeth, but they are just perfect and beautiful for his face.  Yes, I am seething with jealousy.   He answered a lot of questions and then just looking at his smile was great testimony to the power of metal!  However, I still needed to talk to an expert.

I met with Dr. Jeff Johnson and he gave me a great, informative, and dare I say fun consultation.  I felt more informed and confident about getting braces.  After seriously considering both the pros and cons of traditional versus Invisalign, I decided on traditional with self-ligating brackets and Suresmile technology.

Price was not the issue (they were the same) and aesthetics weren’t an issue (I don’t care).  I had to go with what I thought would be best for me.  People will always have an opinion, but remember this..it's YOUR money, YOUR mouth.  Unless someone else is footing the bill, get what you want.

I get my braces put on next Tuesday!
