Can I just say that I really think certain teeth are about to fall out! I know it's all in my head. Some just hurt so much. They only hurt when I eat on them or brush them. I still can't use the front and bottom chompers to bite down. I'm thinking it's going to be like this until I get them off.
As I wrote earlier, popcorn is my favorite food and is also now my Kryptonite with these braces. It is so delicious. I haven't had it in weeks and last week I went to the movies with my mom and here's how the conversation went:
"You want to share popcorn? Oh wait - you can't eat that" she said.
Looking dejected and sad I mutter, "No". Thinking she'll probably not get it.
Hesitating she replied, "I'm getting it. Sorry!"
Thanks mom! I guess you feel justified since you went through hours of labor on my behalf. You know it always comes back to that ;) I seriously wanted to dive into the bucket head first and eat my way out. After 10 minutes and avoiding looking directly at it, I was okay.
There's a few things I've noticed since having braces:
1) The use of lip balm has increased exponentially. I think it's because I don't lick my lips as much.
2) Mouth ajar. For some reason I never really close my mouth all the way. It's always slightly ajar. I'm trying to remember to do that.
Anyway, here is my latest picture.
I can't believe it! I noticed the snaggles are starting to turn outward. It's amazing. The snaggles I speak of are on the top right in the photo on each side of the large buck teeth. It's so exciting!!!
Congrats! Your teeth are looking great. And well done for restraining yourself at the movies. I'm sure I couldn't have. Hooray for lip balm!
